Rachel Moody

Violinist Rachel Moody was educated at McGill University in Canada, where she graduated with a Masters degree in Violin and Chamber Music performance.

She has worked with many orchestras and ensembles, including the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (where she was a tenured member), Aradia Early Music Ensemble and Musikbarock ensemble.

Rachel joined the Auckland Philharmonia second violin section in 2014 and her work has also included periods in the first violin section and as Sub Principal 2nd Violin.

Away from the violin, Rachel enjoys being in the natural world, enjoying the beautiful Waitakere Ranges and the many stunning beaches of Tāmaki Makaurau.
