Salina Fisher Violin Concerto — Southern Hemisphere Premiere
Stravinsky The Rite of Spring
Displaying a visceral, primal power which is sure to blow audiences away, Pierre Bleuse conducts a gargantuan orchestra in The Rite of Spring, Stravinsky’s electrifying piece which caused a riot at its first performance.
Debussy’s ballet, on the unlikely subject of a tennis game, is set to be the perfect match for Salina Fisher’s Violin Concerto. This brilliant new work was composed for ace violinist Geneva Lewis, making a triumphant return home to give its southern hemisphere premiere.
