Saint-Saëns’ Cello

Sublime Chinese-Australian cellist Li-Wei Qin is back with Auckland Phil to perform Saint-Saëns’ enchanting concerto, a marvel of delicacy and taste, particularly its feather-light slow movement. This pairs beautifully with Gao Ping’s homage to his native Sichuan landscape and ‘the immensity of nature.’
