Wagner Parsifal: Good Friday Music
Karłowicz Eternal Songs
The 19-year-old Singaporean prodigy Chloe Chua returns for Korngold’s wonderful Violin Concerto, after wowing a packed-out Auckland Town Hall in 2025. Plenty of fizz too with Strauss’ overture from the comic operetta Die Fledermaus.
Wagner’s solemn ritual from his final opera precedes late-Romantic Polish composer Karłowicz’s cosmic tone-poem on longing, majesty, death and love — a work that is very special to guest conductor Anna Sułkowska-Migoń, making her New Zealand debut.
