Zephyr Wills
Viola
Zephyr Wills is a classical violist from Waiheke Island, Auckland. Graduating from the New Zealand School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in 2021, Zephyr then worked in the United States as a teaching assistant at Penn State University where he received a Masters of Music in 2024 before moving to London, first as a Royal College of Music scholar where he earned an Artist Diploma in viola performance, and then as a fellow of Sinfonia Smith Square for their 2025-2026 season.
Zephyr has been an active freelancer in London, working alongside English National Opera, Ensemble 360, Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, and the Welsh Chamber Orchestra in venues including the London Coliseum, Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall. Zephyr is also an award-winning folk singer-songwriter and maintains a busy folk and classical recital schedule outside his orchestral projects.
