Originally from Queensland, Australia, Prudence Russell graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Performance (with distinction) from Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where she studied under Peter Luff, Ysolt Clark and Malcolm Stewart. Following her undergraduate studies, Prudence continued her studies at the University of Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. There, she recently completed her Master of Music in Orchestral Performance degree under the tutelage of Nicolas Fleury and Carla Blackwood.
Prudence frequently freelances with Australian orchestras including the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and Orchestra Victoria. She has also previously participated in several orchestras and ensembles including the Queensland Young Conservatorium, Queensland Youth Orchestra, Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra and University of New South Wales Collegium Musicum.
