Hui Cao
Violin
Hui Cao started his violin journey at age of four under violinist Duoxin Xu in Shanghai. Only five years later he was accepted into the Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music where he studied with violinists Binyou Zhou and Shisheng Zheng. On graduating from the Shanghai Conservatory of music, Hui worked with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, later moving to Macau where he joined the Macau Symphony Orchestra.
In 2017 Hui moved to America where he played with American orchestras such as the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony Orchestra and Seattle Symphony. In 2023 he joins the Auckland Philharmonia as tutti first violin.
When not with his violin, Hui enjoys spending time with his son and cooking for his family. He's also looking forward to exploring the beautiful surroundings of Auckland!
