Yun Zhai

Yun Zhai, a violinist since the age of five, graduated from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. Prior to that, she studied with Professor Lucie Robert at Mannes College of Music and Victor Danchenko from the Peabody.
Yun has freelanced with many orchestras such as the Singapore Lyric Orchestra, Singapore Festival Orchestra, opera Hongkong, and Macau orchestra. She joined the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013 and acted as associate concertmaster in the Chengdu Symphony Orchestra before joining the Auckland Philharmonia.
Outside of music, Yun is a passionate snowboarder, and she loves exploring new destinations through travel.
