Ngā Tapuwae Kapa Haka

Te Kura Māori o Ngā Tapuwae has a proud and long-standing commitment to kapa haka, with our tauira performing and competing for many years through Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga. In 2025, our rōpū achieved an outstanding milestone, placing in the Top 9 at the National Secondary Kapa Haka Competition, a reflection of the dedication, discipline, and cultural pride of our students and kaiako.

For the 2026 Auckland Philharmonia kaupapa, we are proud to bring along our Year 13 tauira to support and uplift this special collaboration, sharing the strength of our waiata, haka, and tikanga with the wider community.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Auckland Philharmonia for the opportunity to be part of this kaupapa and for supporting the celebration of te ao Māori through music.

You can see Ngā Tapuwae Kapa Haka in action on Thursday 9 July at Matariki Waiata Anthems in Concert
