Venezuelan-American Violinist Allison Lovera has performed as soloist with several orchestras around Venezuela and the U.S. including the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and the CMI Chamber Orchestra in San Antonio TX. Winner of several awards including Chicago International Music Competition Rising Star first prize, and Iscart International Music Competition Solo Category Winner 2021.
Allison was a member of El Sistema in Venezuela, in which she performed as guest first violin with the Simon Bolivar Orchestra and was Concertmaster of the Teresa Carreño Symphony Orchestra. She has been a member of Sphinx Virtuosi, a Fellow of Memphis Symphony, Chicago Sinfonietta, and Civic Orchestra of Chicago. In the past two years, Allison Lovera worked as a one year contract violin section of the Minnesota Orchestra, Concertmaster of the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra, principal second violin of the Chicago Opera festival, and first violin section with Lakes Area Music Festival and Arizona MusicFest. Ms. Lovera worked as a member of the first violin section of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra until February 2024, and she is currently the Acting Associate Concertmaster of the Auckland Philharmonia.
Allison Lovera studied with Mrs Almita Vamos at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, and Dr. Marcin Arendt at the Rudi E Scheidt School of Music.
