Programme Books

Find out more about the performers and the music with our bespoke concert programme books created specially for The New Zealand Herald Premier Series and Bayleys Great Classics and Opera in Concert. Each year Auckland Philharmonia commissions music experts to research and write our programme notes, sharing their wealth of musical knowledge with you. These are a great resource to broaden your musical knowledge and help you get more from your concert experience. They also look great on the bookshelf as you build your own music library.

There are a number of ways to get your hands on a programme book:

  • Become a Full Series subscriber (NZH Premier Series and/or Bayleys Great Classics) and receive a complimentary programme book as part of your subscription
  • Pre-purchase your programme book before 22 January 2024 and save $5 off the full price – just add it onto your subscription booking
  • Full-price programme books will be available for purchase on concert nights, but numbers may be limited in an effort to reduce paper and print waste.

Auckland Philharmonia is aiming to reduce its environmental impact in 2024. Single-concert digital programmes, with reduced content will be available online. They will also be sent out with your pre-concert reminder email free of charge, for you to download as a PDF to print at home, or to view on your device ahead of the concert.
