We’re a welcoming group of dedicated music enthusiasts. We’ve been supporting Auckland’s orchestra for over 40 years as a Silver level financial sponsor and we love what we do!

As a Friend you provide vital help for many areas of our work, including providing musician suppers, staffing the information table and selling programmes at concerts as well as organising fundraising activities. The Friends also coordinate the special concert buses from Auckland’s suburbs to the Town Hall – a simple, cost-effective and convenient service for our concertgoers.

The Auckland Philharmonia Friends host monthly Meet the Artist (MTA) events on Friday mornings at the Ellerslie War Memorial Community Hall. Generally held the morning after a concert, the MTA provides an opportunity to hear the conductor or soloist talk about their life in music. The events also include music from Auckland Philharmonia players or Aspiring Musicians and a light finger food lunch. Aspiring Musicians are the future of orchestral music in Auckland, and we have the opportunity to follow their professional journeys from the beginning.
Your orchestra needs you – join the Auckland Philharmonia Friends today!
