Terms & Conditions

  • The orchestra reserves the right to add, withdraw or substitute artists and/or advertised programmes, prices, seating arrangements and audience capacity.
  • Ticket purchases are subject to availability.
  • Tickets are valid only when purchased from the Auckland Philharmonia or an authorised ticketing agent. When booking through a ticketing agent, booking, transaction and credit card and other fees may be applicable.
  • Tickets purchased from an authorised agent are subject to the sale and refund policies of that agent and any communication over those tickets must be directed to that agent.
  • The right of admission is reserved by Venue Management
  • The right to enforce the rules of the venue is reserved by Venue Management. All persons on Auckland Philharmonia premises or attending Auckland Philharmonia events are bound by the Auckland Philharmonia Code of Conduct.
  • Tickets are valid only when purchased from the Auckland Philharmonia, Ticketmaster NZ or Eventfinda (Community Classics South). Customers are advised not to purchase tickets through other vendors such as VIAGOGO. The Auckland Philharmonia reserves the right to refuse admission where tickets have been purchased through an unauthorised vendor.
  • The Auckland Philharmonia reserves the right to refuse admission where tickets have been lost or damaged.
  • The Auckland Philharmonia reserves the right to charge a fee for the replacement of tickets, and reserves the right not to replace tickets where seating is not allocated (e.g. General Admission Tickets).
  • Whilst attending an Auckland Philharmonia concert or event, patrons are responsible for their own property.
  • Whilst attending an Auckland Philharmonia concert or event, patrons are responsible for their own safety and the safety of those attending with them, especially children and minors.
  • Photography, audio or video recording may not be permitted.
  • Mobile phones and pagers must be switched off or silenced during performances.
  • Late arrival may result in non-admittance until a suitable break in the performance.
  • Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of the Auckland Philharmonia, be resold at a premium or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions), or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the bearer of the ticket will be refused admission.
  • No refunds will be issued for concerts that are not officially cancelled by the Auckland Philharmonia except as required by law.

  • In the event of an official concert cancellation by the Auckland Philharmonia, ticket holders may either:

    • have the ticket value credited to their Auckland Philharmonia account to be used towards another concert in the 2026 season,

    • request a full refund, or

    • donate the ticket value back to the Auckland Philharmonia.

  • The Auckland Philharmonia shall not be liable to the customer for any failure to perform any obligation under this agreement arising from causes beyond the Auckland Philharmonia’s reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Acts of God

    • terrorism

    • war

    • political insurgence or insurrection

    • riots or civil unrest

    • acts of civil or military authority

    • strikes

    • epidemics

    • earthquakes

    • extreme weather

    • floods

    • or any other natural or man-made event outside our control

    If affected by such an event, the Auckland Philharmonia will use all reasonable endeavours to comply with the terms and conditions of any agreement contained herein.

  • If you are unable to attend a concert, subscription tickets may be exchanged to another concert in the 2026 season, donated, or credited to your account.

  • All ticket exchanges are subject to seat availability and must be requested through Auckland Philharmonia Ticketing at least 24 hours prior to the ticketed performance.

  • If a ticket is exchanged from a Full Series concert to a different series, an individual concert, or a higher price reserve, the patron must pay the price difference.

  • Unused account credit after 19 December 2026 will expire and be relinquished to the Auckland Philharmonia. It is not possible to carry 2026 account credit forward to the 2027 season.

  • Account credit cannot be used to purchase Gift Certificates.

  • IRD rules prevent the Auckland Philharmonia from issuing a tax deduction receipt for donated ticket value or account credit.

  • A Subscriber is any person who has purchased at least four tickets directly from the Auckland Philharmonia.

  • Seat retention from season to season is guaranteed only for Full Series subscribers. The Auckland Philharmonia cannot guarantee the same seat at the same venue for other package subscribers.

  • Full New Zealand Herald Premier Series subscribers are entitled to two complimentary tickets in the same price reserve as their subscription (maximum two per subscription).

    • These may be redeemed for any Auckland Philharmonia concert excluding Opera in Concert.

    • Complimentary tickets redeemed for non-Premier Series concerts must accompany the purchase of at least one ticket to that concert.

    • Complimentary tickets can be redeemed from Thursday 22 January 2026.

  • Senior citizen prices are available on most main-stage concerts to persons aged 65 years and over.

  • Suitable ID must be provided when booking if you are a new Senior, Student or Community Services Card holder subscriber.

  • Mixed Series discounts apply to Auckland Philharmonia main concert performances only, as indicated.

  • Full Series discounts do not apply to additional concerts purchased after your subscription purchase, however Mixed Series and CYO discounts may apply where relevant.

  • Community Services Card holders may purchase tickets at the Senior ticket price.

  • Auckland Philharmonia concerts starting at 7.30pm are generally not suitable for children under six years old, and under-sixes are not permitted to attend these events.

  • Child price tickets are available to those 16 years and under at the time of booking.

  • All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Adults are responsible for the safety and behaviour of children attending with them.

  • A family pass consists of two adults and two children.

    A family pass must be purchased in one transaction to receive the family price

  • Babies under 12 months do not require a ticket for children’s events.

  • Toddlers aged one to two receive a complimentary ticket for children’s events.

  • Children two years and over must have a child ticket for children’s events.

  • For safety and security, prams, pushchairs, buggies and baby capsules are not permitted in the auditorium. These must be left in designated pram parking areas.

  • Aisles, stairways and stairwells must remain clear at all times.

  • Gift Certificates are redeemable only through the Auckland Philharmonia Ticketing Office, at least 48 hours ahead of a concert.
  • You may redeem multiple certificates at one concert subject to seat availability.
  • Gift certificates may be redeemed for any Auckland Philharmonia concert and the patron may pay any price difference into a higher reserve or concert of greater value. No change will be given. Any value remaining after tickets are purchased can be held as credit against future concert purchases.
  • Gift certificates are not exchangeable for cash and no refunds will be issued for unused Gift Vouchers or lower priced concerts.
  • Gift Certificates issued for 2026 expire on 19 December 2026.
  • In the case of Auckland Philharmonia concert tickets used for promotional use and/or as donated items; the prize must be taken as stated.
  • No compensation will be payable if the Recipient is unable to use the prize as stated.
  • Prizes are not transferable to another person (unless agreed to by the Auckland Philharmonia), nor redeemed as cash, or exchangeable for other goods and services.
  • All vouchers will expire as per the voucher, and in the case that an expiration date is not stated, must be redeemed before the end of the current concert Season (Jan – Dec).
  • Philharmonia GO is open to patrons under 30 years of age during the period 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026 (born 1996 and later) and students.
  • Proof of your date of birth or valid, current student ID must be supplied at time of purchasing a membership.
  • Membership of Philharmonia GO is dependent on payment of the membership fee. Membership expires on the 31st of December of the year the membership fee was paid. Membership may be renewed on payment of another membership fee.
  • Philharmonia GO membership cards are valid only for the duration of the season in which they are purchased. At the beginning of each season, those who are still eligible may renew their membership.
  • Philharmonia GO tickets must be picked up at the Auckland Philharmonia ticketing desk on the night of the concert.
  • Photo ID and an Philharmonia GO card must be shown to Auckland Philharmonia Ticketing staff when collecting a ticket. If there are discrepancies, Auckland Philharmonia reserves the right to deny you entry to the concert.
  • Philharmonia GO tickets are available for selected concerts only, subject to availability at the Auckland Philharmonia’s discretion. Auckland Philharmonia reserves the right to revoke seats or set a limit on seat availability.
  • Tickets must be paid for at time of booking. Members will get the best available seats at the discretion of Auckland Philharmonia ticketing.
  • Philharmonia GO members can only purchase $10 tickets for themselves and other membership holders. Tickets for non-Philharmonia GO members must be purchased at the standard price applicable to that person.
  • Tickets are non-transferable & non-refundable unless required by law.
  • The replacement of a lost Philharmonia GO membership card will incur a $5 charge.
  • Membership tickets are not available in conjunction with any other offers.
  • A group is defined as eight or more people. Groups smaller than eight pay standard ticket prices.

  • A complimentary ninth ticket is provided for every eight tickets purchased.

  • Group discounts are not available for:

    • Family Concerts (including Kiri & Lou and The Wizard of Oz)

    • Community Classics concerts

    • In Your Neighbourhood concerts

    • Tunes 4 Tamariki concerts

  • All group bookings are subject to availability.

  • Group bookings must be paid in full at least five working days before the performance.

  • No refunds will be offered except as required by law.

  • If group tickets are collected at the venue, they must be collected together and the group organiser is responsible for distributing them.

  • One payment per group booking.

  • Group discounts cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.

  • The Auckland Philharmonia will only use personal information that you provide to us to send you your tickets, information regarding concerts, other news and information about the Auckland Philharmonia, and occasional offers from our sponsors and funding partners.
  • The Auckland Philharmonia does not sell, rent or otherwise make available any personal information to third parties without obtaining your consent, unless required to so by law. The Auckland Philharmonia outsources certain business functions to other organisations. For this purpose, and only for the purpose of providing services to the Auckland Philharmonia, personal contact information may, as required, be transferred to or handled by organisations which provide services to us, such as mailing houses; promotion and advertising agencies; consumer research agencies; and Government or statutory authorities.
  • We are happy to provide you with access to any personal information that we hold about you. If it is wrong, please ask us to correct it.
  • If you do not wish to receive mail or email from the Auckland Philharmonia in the future, please send an email to or mail your request to Auckland Philharmonia, PO Box 7083, Victoria Street West, Auckland, 1142, New Zealand.
  • The Auckland Philharmonia will from time to time take audience and orchestra photos or videos for promotional purposes, and may use your photo in publicity material.
  • If you are photographed, filmed or recorded whilst attending an Auckland Philharmonia performance, you consent to Auckland Philharmonia or third parties appointed by the Auckland Philharmonia photographing, filming and recording you. Auckland Philharmonia or third parties appointed by Auckland Philharmonia can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings and images of you without compensation. Auckland Philharmonia, the third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to you in any way for its use.
  • This offer is available only for concerts in the New Zealand Herald Premier Series and the Classic Series.

  • If your booking includes a qualifying concert, you are entitled to one complimentary ticket for a child under 16.

  • To claim this ticket, contact Auckland Philharmonia Ticketing after the public on-sale date (Thursday 22 January 2026).

  • Young Companion tickets are strictly subject to availability and are not available for Deluxe price seats.

  • The Auckland Philharmonia may relocate your entire party to accommodate extra seats if required.

  • The Auckland Philharmonia will not relocate other patrons to accommodate Young Companion ticket holders.

  • Young Companion tickets must be collected from the Auckland Philharmonia desk on the night of the performance and suitable ID may be required. Failure to provide ID may result in the full ticket price being charged.

  • Young Companion tickets are only available to patrons already booked for the concert.

  • This offer is only available for concerts in The New Zealand Herald Premier Series and Great Classics.
  • If you are booking a qualifying concert, then you are entitled to three complimentary tickets to that concert for children under 16 only.
  • The complimentary tickets are only issued as part of a full-priced booking.
  • Your complimentary tickets must be requested at the time of booking. Complimentary tickets will not be added post-payment.
  • Complimentary tickets are strictly subject to availability.
  • Complimentary tickets can only be collected from the Ticketmaster desk on the night of the performance in question and suitable ID may be called for at the Ticketmaster staff member’s request. Failure to do so may result in the full price of the ticket being charged.
