This July SOUNZ will release Resound films of Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra performances of music by Douglas Lilburn, Eve de Castro-Robinson, Lyell Cresswell, Ross Harris, John Rimmer and Karlo Margetić.
These six works were captured in the last two years at the APO’s home, the Auckland Town Hall and celebrate the orchestra’s immense contribution to New Zealand music. Resound partner RNZ Concert recorded the audio with producer Tim Dodd and sound engineer Adrian Hollay.

The Resound project is a partnership between SOUNZ and RNZ Concert, funded by NZ On Air. It began in 2010, relicensing the vast catalogue of recordings of New Zealand music held in the archives of RNZ. In 2014 a third venture was added: the systematic multi-camera filming, editing and online releasing of performances of works by New Zealand composers.
