Yanghe Yu
Violin
Born in Jiangxi, China, Yanghe began violin studying at age 5. He got the Bachelor of Arts degree at China Conservatory and Master of Music at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. His former teacher include Wei He, Catherine van Hoesen and Kathleen Winkler, also under the guidance of world famous artists such as Donald Weilerstein, Rachel Poder, Gyorgy Pauk, Dora Schwarzberg, Pamela Frank, Pinchas Zukerman and Michael Tilson Thomas.
Yanghe served as tutti first violin in Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra from 2011 to 2012, and violin fellowship of New World Symphony from 2015 to 2016, he also played as substitute violinist with San Francisco Symphony during their 2015-2016 season. Yanghe is an active chamber musician and teacher, his music festival experiences include Salzburg Music Festival (2010), Valdres Music Festival in Norway (2013), and Casals Music Festival in San Juan, Porto Rico (2016). On October 2015, Yanghe has been invited to perform Beethoven Triple Concerto as one of the soloists with Stockton Symphony Orchestra. He is also the semifinalist of Klein
International String Competition on 2013 and the winner of SFCM Concerto Competition on 2014.
