Sylvia Jiang

Sylvia Jiang is a young pianist from New Zealand recently inducted as a member of the Astral Artists roster after winning their 2023 Competition. As a graduate of the Juilliard School, she has been hailed by critics as a “gifted young pianist of genuine substance.”
Sylvia has won numerous top competition prizes including Hastings International, Music Academy of the West, Kerikeri, Lev Vlassenko and Wallace National Piano Competitions. Sylvia currently studies with Richard Goode and Yong Hi Moon.
As an avid soloist, Sylvia has performed with the Royal Philharmonic, Auckland Philharmonia, Queensland Symphony and Juilliard Chamber Orchestra. She has given solo recitals in New Zealand, Great Britain, Australia, Indonesia, South Korea and the United States.
