Johannes Moser
Cello
German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser is hailed by Gramophone Magazine as "one of the finest among the astonishing gallery of young virtuoso cellists."
Highlights of the current season see Johannes perform the world premiere of Anna Thorvaldsdottir’s Cello Concerto with the San Francisco Symphony, and returns to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to perform Lutoslawski’s Cello Concerto. He makes debuts with the Detroit Symphony and Sydney Symphony Orchestra with conductor Vasily Petrenko in four performances at the Sydney Opera House, performing Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No.1. He also performs Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with the Malmo Symphony Orchestra at Malmo Live conducted by Fabien Gabel.
Johannes Moser plays on an Andrea Guarneri Cello from 1694 from a private collection.
You can see Johannes Moser in action on Thursday 21 November at Bayleys Great Classics: Romantic Journeys
