Joel Amosa
Baritone
Samoan Bass-baritone Joel Amosa made his operatic debut in 2012. He is well-known to New Zealand audiences, having performed with New Zealand Opera, Auckland Opera Studio, Wellington Opera, Festival Opera and Opera Otago in roles such as Sarastro in The Magic Flute, Masetto in Don Giovanni and Dulcamara in The Elixir of Love among others
Joel has appeared regularly as bass soloist with all of New Zealand’s major orchestras. A winner of the prestigious Lexus Song Quest, he will join NZ Opera’s 2025 season as Edmund Bertram in Mansfield Park and Daedalus in Monster in the Maze.
