JIJI
Guitar
JIJI is an adventurous guitarist, at home with acoustic and electric instruments. She has premiered solo, chamber and concerto works by composers including Michael Gilbertson, Paul Lansky, Steven Mackey, Natalie Dietterich, Hilary Purrington and Krists Auznieks, and performed with Seattle Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Kansas City Symphony and more.
In 2016, she became the first guitarist in 30 years to secure first prize in the Concert Artists Guild Competition.
JIJI is Associate Professor of Music in guitar at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She has presented masterclasses and workshops at the Peabody Institute, Eastman School of Music and Yale, among others.
