Isabella Bignasca

Australian violist Isabella Bignasca is an expressive young performer with a passion for chamber music and community engagement. She was a 2025 Australian Chamber Orchestra Emerging Artist and a 2023–25 Fellow at Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect. Isabella holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Juilliard School, where she studied with Paul Neubauer and Heidi Castleman.
Isabella has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. An active chamber musician and performer, she has collaborated with Itzhak Perlman, the Borromeo Quartet, the Affinity Quartet, Selby and Friends and Heifetz on Tour, to name a few. Some of her international festival appearances include the Verbier Festival, Ravinia Steans Music Institute, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival and the Perlman Music Program Chamber Workshop.
Alongside her performance career, Isabella is deeply committed to community engagement and music education. She was a resident teaching artist at the New York City College Academy of the Arts and has also been involved with initiatives such as Earth Day at Lincoln Center, Project Renewal, Carnegie Hall's Family Day, and Music For Food, bringing classical music to diverse audiences in meaningful and accessible ways.
