David Kay

David Kay has a bachelor of Music with Honours degree in performance horn from the University of Auckland, and has recently finished studying towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Orchestral Training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He has played in the National Youth Orchestra as principal horn from 2002-2004, and during 2004-2007 played 4th Horn with the Auckland Philharmonia.

He is also a brass itinerant music teacher, specialising in French Horn at 3 high schools and 1 intermediate school on the North Shore and a private music tutor as well. During 2006-2007 he began the North Shore Horn Class for aspiring horn students on the North Shore and is also the conductor of the North Shore Junior Orchestra and the North Shore Youth Orchestra.
