Carl Wells has been 2nd horn in the Auckland Philharmonia since 2007.
A holder of multiple passports, Carl has performed in orchestras in Canada, Mexico, the United States, and all the major orchestras of New Zealand. Carl also has a passion for building the horn community: he regularly runs Horn Hang events in Auckland and hosts The Horn Circle; a weekly horn class on Zoom for students around the world.
An alumni of the University of Northern Colorado, University of Toronto, and New England Conservatory in Boston; his principal teachers include Marian Hesse, Gabriel Radford, and Daniel Katzen.
