Alexander Gavrylyuk

Renowned for his electrifying and poetic playing, Alexander Gavrylyuk gave his first concerto performance at nine, and won first prize and gold medal at the Horowitz International Piano Competition, first prize at the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (2000), and the gold medal at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Masters Competition. His performance of Rachmaninov at the BBC Proms was described as “revelatory” by The Times.
Highlights of 2024-25 include debuts with Hamburger Symphoniker and Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liege. Recent highlights include performances with the NDR Hannover, Bournemouth, Detroit, Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco symphonies.
Gavrylyuk was Wigmore Hall’s Artist-in-Residence for 2023-24.
