Apply now for our week-long intensive course for instrumentalists aged 12 – 18. Students are coached through a challenging repertoire by a professional conductor before performing at a ticketed concert with their peers and professional Auckland Phil musicians at the weeks’ conclusion at the Bruce Mason Centre.
The week’s structure includes sectionals (Auckland Phil musicians rehearse their individual sections of the orchestra – e.g cello, percussion, trombone etc) and tutti rehearsals (conductor rehearses the full orchestra) with additional small group workshops and games!
Age 12 - 18
Instrument This course is for orchestral instrumentalists only (i.e. unfortunately we can't accept guitar, piano, vocals, saxophones)
Ability This course is recommended for students who are Grade 5+ or equivalent.
