Sunday Singalong with Wagner

Come along to learn the famous 'Wedding March' from Wagner’s Lohengrin in this FREE event with NZ Opera!

This FREE event is part of Phil Opera Fest, a celebration of Auckland Philharmonia’s performance of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde.

Whether you’re a seasoned singer or a choral newbie, everyone is welcome at this free event! Meet new friends and re-discover your love of opera by singing this dazzling chorus, led by celebrated opera singer Catrin Johnsson and accompanied by David Kelly and a super squad of pro opera singers.

Doors will open at 10am for our participants to meet and mingle. The workshop will begin with a warm welcome from Auckland Philharmonia staff. Then we'll kick off the singing with some fun choral warm-ups, before jumping into workshopping the famous 'Wedding March'. Catrin will break the music down into manageable sections and give helpful tips for healthy singing! This is an amazing opportunity to learn from professional musicians and to make music with your fellow Aucklanders in a fun and relaxed environment!
