Piano Masterclass with Eva Gevorgyan
Yamaha Young Artist, Eva Gevorgyan, is a laureate in more than forty piano competitions, including top prizes at the 2018 Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists and the 2019 Van Cliburn Young Artist Competition. More recently she has won the Prix de Bern in Switzerland in 2023, Discovery Award at the 2019 International Classical Music Awards, the Great Prize at the Russia National Orchestra Competition in 2021, in addition to being finalist and winner of the Special Prize at the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
Highlights of the 2025/26 season include a tour in Australia with the Sydney Symphony, and collaborations with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Armenian Philharmonic, Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, Brussels Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony, Stuttgart Philharmonic, Belgrade Philharmonic, Arkhangelsk Philharmonic and Tambov Philharmonic, among others. Further engagements include duo recitals with cellist Alexander Kniazev and violinist Alexandra Conunova, and chamber collaborations with Yamen Saadi, Sara Ferrández, and Pablo Ferrández.
We are so fortunate to have Eva join us for a masterclass opportunity ahead of her performance with the Auckland Philharmonia at Chopin & Tchaikovsky. At this public masterclass, selected promising pianists from the University of Auckland will perform for her and receive feedback on their playing.
