We are delighted to be joined by the Auckland Philharmonia's new librarian, Madison Vienna. Madison starts work at the Town Hall on Monday 31 March for a two-week handover with the current library team, Robert and Charlotte, so will have plenty to share from her first month in conversation with Jackie Wilkinson.
Madison holds a bachelor's degree in clarinet performance from DePaul University and master's degrees in both clarinet performance and library science with a music specialization from Indiana University (Bloomington). She has served most recently as Orchestra Librarian of the Chicago Sinfonietta and Music Librarian of the Northbrook Public Library. Prior to this, she held internships in the libraries of Lyric Opera of Chicago and Cook Music Library at Indiana University. At the latter, she also served two years as an Opera Production Administrative Assistant.
