Guitar Masterclass with JIJI
JIJI is an adventurous guitarist, at home with acoustic and electric instruments. She has premiered solo, chamber and concerto works by composers including Michael Gilbertson, Paul Lansky, Steven Mackey, Natalie Dietterich, Hilary Purrington and Krists Auznieks, and performed with Seattle Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Kansas City Symphony and more.
JIJI is Associate Professor of Music in guitar at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She has presented masterclasses and workshops at the Peabody Institute, Eastman School of Music and Yale, among others.
We are so fortunate to have her join us for this masterclass opportunity ahead her performance with the Auckland Philharmonia at the Spanish Rhythms concert.
At this masterclass, promising young guitarists from the community will perform for JIJI and receive feedback in return.
